Michigan Antique Arms Collectors, Inc. began in 1947 as the Michigan Gun Collectors Association. In the lobby of a Columbus, Ohio hotel a group of men from Michigan interested in the collection and preservation of antique firearms formed the MAAC club. Among the founding members were Miller "Horsethief" Bedford, R.L. Taylor, Bill Locke, Herb Brand, Bob Abels and Ray Riling.
The purpose of the club was to meet periodically, swap antique guns, yarns, gun lore and arrange shooting matches (muzzle-loading) and to promote, collect and preserve antique weapons in the State of Michigan. The membership originally held three meetings annually. This is the 48th year that Michigan Antique Arms Collectors, Inc. has been affiliated and represented at the N.R.A. show.
Today our show features antique and collectible firearms from the Revolutionary War to modern times. We have 500 tables with some of the finest antique arms, swords, knives, uniforms and accoutrements in the Midwest. You can buy, sell, trade, and appraisals are available.
The MAAC Board of Directors and Officers are eager to serve you and your collection needs at every show. We offer the public arms dealers from over 15 states and Canada, and our show is considered to be one of the top shows in America. We also feature some of the finest historical arms displays that can be found at any show anywhere.
