OBITUARIES :
2021 was a saddened year for MAAC. We lost four good friends and historian-collectors. They were Johnny Bassett who was a longtime member and displayers, and he was serving as Vice President. He was always upbeat and had a wonderful contagious laugh.
Mr. Roy "Mountain Man" Gorski whose contributions to our club were many, including being a member for many years and a Director on the MAAC board. Roy also put together many antique arms displays for MAAC and was an annual exhibitor at the Civil War Reenactment in Jackson, MI representing MAAC.
John Snyder, who was a dedicated member of the NRA for more than 40 years, along with the Michigan Antique Arms Collectors for 41 years. Additionally with firearms and military memorabilia, John was also known for his extensive collection of coins.
Finally, Sherman Kirkland III who was president of OGCA at the time of his death and a faithful member of MAAC. They will be missed.
In 2022 we lost two more good friends and historian-collectors. They were as follows:
Michael Joseph Parker, age 73 of Troy, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022.
Mr. Bruce Cobb, he was a long time member of MAAC and served on our Board of Directors for many years.
